Teacher Training

COSKids is staffed by childcare professionals with the training, skills, and enthusiasm to provide the warmth, care and stimulating learning environment you want for your child. All classroom teachers meet the certification standards set by North Carolina Division of Child Development.

Teachers are required to complete an extensive training program that provides further insight on childcare and child-development issues before they enter a classroom. Lead teachers are trained in First Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness. Additional training in curriculum, classroom arrangement, classroom management, age-appropriate activities, and nutrition are also provided. The lead teacher is responsible for the supervision and management of a classroom in accordance with the goals and curriculum of COSKids. The assistant teacher will help the lead teacher in providing a warm and nurturing environment for the children.

Teachers provide regular communication with parents about everyday moments as well as major milestones. We nurture the lasting bonds that develop between our staff and families.

In Matthew 18:5, Jesus says, “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” This statement reveals our heart for the children in our care. When we receive these children we receive Him.
