Support can come in many forms; whether financial, volunteer-centered, or product-based, C.O.S.Kids works with you to develop a partnership that meets your goals and suits your specific ability to invest in our families.
Whether through a one-time or recurring donation, you can make an impact in our community by providing developmental care, encouragement, and support to single parents and their children. Your donation could supply a tuition scholarship for child care or summer camp, which allows a child to receive high-quality developmental care while their parents are at work. It can also provide resources that bring stability to the household, whether by means of counseling or practical items such as gas or grocery gift cards to ‘bridge the gap” until the next pay day.
Employee Matching Gifts
If your employer matches charitable donations, this is a wonderful way to increase your support.
Sponsor our annual fundraising event and raise critical funds for our programs and increase awareness for the mission of C.O.S.Kids. All event sponsors receive recognition and PR benefits, which gain the appreciation of your clients and customers who see the way your company gives back to the community.
Host a collection drive with your small group or coworkers. Back-to-school items, toiletries, cleaning supplies, socks, pajamas – all are vital; just call us to see which items are most needed at that time. Also, consider adopting a family to help bring Christmas gifts to the children. Or you can donate your gently used toys, playground equipment, household items, and small electronics such as tablets.
We have lots of opportunities for working with our school-aged children, either in the After School program or in our full day Summer Camps. You can be a mentor/tutor, read with a child, or lead an enrichment activity in music, art, science, sports, and games. This can be a one-time activity or become a long-term relationship between you and our students!
We also welcome small groups or individuals who are interested in volunteering on a Saturday morning to help with facility projects around campus or work with our volunteer gardener to plant and maintain our beautiful flowers and butterfly garden.
We have an occasional need for those willing to share their professional time and talents for a family in need. This might include budget counseling, handyman or vehicle repair, or dental services. Please contact us to see if we can use your talents!
